YOUR PRIVACY
GOOD is a privacy-friendly search engine
With GOOD, you can significantly reduce your digital footprint compared to other search engines. The protection of personal data is one of our priorities.
Greater protection on the internet with GOOD
As a B Corp certified social enterprise, the trust of our users is of utmost importance to us. That is why we take digital privacy and security issues very seriously. We communicate transparently and continuously work on solutions to improve the protection of our users.
We want to make it as easy as possible for you to protect your privacy. We do not collect or store any personal data.
Many web services collect user data in order to resell it. We do not collect or sell data to advertisers.
We encrypt your search queries to protect them from potential interceptors.
Our mobile browser apps are equipped with ad blockers and anti-tracking. They offer you additional features so that you can search the internet without worry.
GOOD is governed by German data protection law. This ensures transparency, as a large number of aspects that are important to us are mandatory under the legal framework. As a company registered in Germany, we are subject to the strict European Data Protection Regulation (DSGVO). Data processing by Microsoft Bing is carried out in accordance with the requirements of the new Trans-Atlantic Data Privacy Framework.
We work with third-party providers to display ads and matching results for your search query (BING, Wikipedia and others). Each click on an ad generates a small revenue stream that we use to support solutions for a better world. To ensure that your results are as accurate as possible, the following parameters are transmitted: Search term, language settings, filter settings.
Our servers are carbon-neutral and are hosted in Germany. The processing of search queries by Bing is also carbon neutral.
You can further reduce your digital footprint with the following measures:
- Activate the “Do not Track” function in your browser.
- Use a secure web browser that ideally is operated by a non-profit
- Conceal your IP address with a VPN client
